Carpenter marking out sheet material on a site bench

Home/Sydney/Custom Furniture

Custom furniture, made to measure

Built-in joinery and freestanding pieces made for your space, by the same hands that frame the house.

Sydney

Made for the room it lives in

Mass-produced furniture is built to a price and a standard size. Neither of those has anything to do with your house.

We design and build furniture, custom timber doors and built-in joinery to the actual dimensions, light and finishes of the room, whether that is a dining table sized to the space you have, a wall of built-in storage, or a window seat in an awkward alcove no catalogue piece will ever fit.

It is the same crew, the same set-out and the same tolerances we bring to architectural framing, applied at furniture scale.

Materials

What we build in

01

Fijian mahogany

A standout feature timber with a deep, even grain. The same material we run as batten-and-board cladding.

02

Merbau & hardwoods

Dense Australian and imported hardwoods that hold up to daily use and, outdoors, to the weather.

03

Glulam & engineered

GLT and Maslam glulam for long spans and heavy sections. The structural timber we handle every week.

04

Mixed media

Timber paired with steel, stone or solid surface where the design calls for it.

Drawings or sketches to agree the form, then timber and finish samples so you know exactly what you are getting.

A fixed price for an agreed design, with a deposit to lock in the build slot.

Build

Made in the workshop or built in place, depending on the piece.

Install
